November Roundup

November went by way faster than it should have, but it was a great month. As we start a brand new month, here are some looks back at my highlights from November. Last month, I officially have been at my new job for three months, which doesn't seem like long, but I feel like I've been working there forever. My coworkers are kind and helpful, and have made me feel welcome on our floor. Not to mention being a nurse is everything I'd hoped it would be and more! It can be a tough job sometimes, but it is not anything that I cannot handle, and it is so worth it.

I spent a lot of my time off this month getting back into blogging, while cuddling with my newest addition,  my kitten Archie (pictured above). Towards the end of September, I decided I wanted to adopt my first pet. One of my good friends recommended a local animal shelter, where she got her cat. So we went looking, and found this guy. He is so friendly and full of energy. I adopted him when he was only four months old and he is six months old now! I named him after my favorite character in Riverdale. He loves kisses, cuddles, fish, playing with all of his toys.

I drank way more coffee than I should have and spent too much money last month since almost every store was having pre-holiday sales. On the plus side, I was able to get everyone in my family some Christmas gifts, and I did my fair share of Black Friday shopping. I even got myself a super cute Lilly Pulitzer half-zip, and the store I purchased it at was monogramming any purchase for free, which of course I had to include.

I was fortunate enough to have Thanksgiving off this year and the four days following Thanksgiving off as well. My family was going to come to my apartment and celebrate here since I didn't have much time off, but we ended up going to my uncles house in Richmond instead, which is about an hour and a half from my place. We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner at his house. The dessert was the BEST. We had pies from Costco, which I think were the most delicious pies I've ever had. My little cousin and I also took a trip to Duck Donuts, which is my new fave.

Overall November was a great month. I learned a lot of new things, and spent a lot of quality time with my family and friends, which is what I needed after a few months of living on my own. I'm so excited for December, and have a lot of great blog posts in mind for December! Enjoy.
